Representatives of Dili Institute of Technology (DIT) and its students met with the President of IGEADI, I.P. in the President’s cabinet. (THURSDAY,19/02/2026).
DILI, 19 February 2026 – Representative of Dili Institute of Technology (DIT), Office Coordinator, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mateus de Sousa M. Phil, expressed his gratitude to the Institute of Equipment Management and Infrastructure Development Support, Public Institute (IGEADI, I.P) for receiving three students of Department Mechanical Engineering, to do professional internship for three months.
“The DIT and the Department of Mechanical Engineering are very grateful to IGEADI, because during these three months, they learned many things that they didn’t learn at university. At campus, there’s a lot of theory, and many things are only seen in images. But when they come to the field, they see models like this one, or some that are larger, and others are a little surprising. But these things increase their knowledge. During this period, the students come to the university to see the schedule for their internship at IGEADI, they observe the work schedule, they arrive in the morning and leave in the afternoon. That’s a good lesson they learn,” said the workshop coordinator from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mateus de Sousa M.Phil.
Taking the opportunity, the workshop coordinator, Mateus de Sousa M. Phil, also apologized to the supervisors if, during their professional internship at IGEADI, I.P., students did something that displeased them.
In the same place, President of IGEADI, I.P, Dra. Ana Paula da Cruz, said IGEADI, I.P really needs to work together with universities, especially the Department of Mechanics, to select the best classified students to come to attend training in IGEADI, I.P.
“Last year IGEADI and DIT we signed a cooperation agreement, therefore you come to the internship must be serious, because the heads in the IGEADI Office are evaluating you, they will provide information to us, which is good behavior, we will take to follow training with international standards,” said IGEADI President Paul Ana Dra. Cruz.
The IGEADI, I.P. Leadership added that every year IGE invites ten (10) DIT students for internships and the team evaluates them, their good behavior, IGE will call all of them.
