IGEADI President, I.P. orientated the Daitula brigade to normalize the Bikarin River to save the population from flooding on friday (06/02/2026).
VIQUEQUE, February 6, 2026 – The heavy rains that hit the Administrative Post of Vila de Viqueque, Municipality of Viqueque, last month, caused flooding. The Bikarin River flooded the homes of the population of three villages and damaged the community’s crops in the fields.
With the incident, the local authorities of Bibileo, Bahalarauain and Luka immediately submitted a request to the Institute of Equipment Management and Infrastructure Development Support of Public Institutions (IGEADI, I.P), to normalize, so that the heavy rain communities of the three villages can calm down.
After receiving the request from the Local Authority of three villages , Bibileo, Bahalarauain and Luka, president (IGEADI, I.P), Dra. Ana Paula da Cruz, immediately directed the Daitula Brigade, down to the field to normalize the Bikarin River, in the Administrative Post of Viqueque Village, Viqueque Municipality.
On Friday (06/02/2026), the IGEADI, I.P team led by the President (IGEADI, I.P), Dra. Ana Paula da Cruz, accompanied by Vogal I Almeiro C Cairo, National Director of Corporate Services, Diamantio de Carvalho, moved to the field in Viqueque Municipality, to observed directly the Daitula Brigade team, doing normalization work in the Bikarin River.
