IGEADI, I.P. Received Certificate of Appreciation from President of the Republic Jose Ramos Horta. (Thursday, 05/02/2026)
DILI, 5 February 2026 – Institute of Equipment Management and Infrastructure Development Support, Public Institute (IGEADI, I.P.), received a certificate of appreciation from the President of the Republic (PR), José Ramos Horta.
This certificate of gratitude was attributed by the President of the Republic to (IGEADI, I.P.) because last year (2025), the team of Brigade Sebastião Gomes, opened a new road from Mindelu Village, Post Administrative Turiskai , Manufahi Municipality to Binani, the last place of the late Nicolau dos Reis Lobato, he passed away in December 1978.
Through his intervention, the Principal Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic, Retired General, Lere Anan Timur, expressed his gratitude to IGE and appreciated the efforts made by IGEADI, I.P. done in about a month, to open a new road from Post Administrative Turiskai , Mindelu Village to Binani, Last place of death of the late Nicolau dos Reis Lobato.
Last year, the President of the Republic wanted to celebrate the 50th anniversary of FALINTIL on August 20th in Binani, but it wasn’t easy because the location wasn’t steep; an alternative would be for the President to go by helicopter, but I asked them: ‘Could the helicopter land?’ They replied that the helicopter also couldn’t land due to the tight space. Our idea was to go by car to Mindelu and walk to Binani, but they said it was too far, so I contacted the Chief of Staff of the Presidency and the Ministerial team to see how to open the road to Binani,” said the Principal Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic, Retired General Lere Anan Timur, in the meeting room of the President of the Republic Bairo-Pite Dili, on Thursday (February 5, 2026).
The retired general added, gratitude is not we meet each other that we thank each other, but the work and action that we do good, this is a form of gratitude.
In the same place, Head of the Civil House, Presidency of the Republic, Jesuína Maria Ferreira Gomes, said, she brought the President of the Republic, her name to express gratitude to all entities, the President has nothing good to thank and recognize all entities that work hard in Binani, but through a certificate of gratitude.
“The President appreciates your preparation and collaboration; this joint work is not limited to that; there will be many works that will require your support, especially during the mandate of the President’s , through your willingness and generosity in continuing to work with the Presidency when we request your support. Once again, thank you very much for all your good work,” said the Chief of Staff of the Presidency of the Republic, Jesuína Maria Ferreira Gomes.
He added that the President has spoken with the Prime Minister, to make a program to improve Binani into a tourist destination, so he asked to wait, when the decision is made, the Presidency still asks for your support.
Meanwhile, President of IGEADI, I.P, Dra. Ana Paula, said, if the Presidency of the Republic intends to improve the place, Binani in Mindelu village, IGEADI, I.P, ready at any time to support, to resolve.
Whatever activities are undertaken by the President of the Republic, the IGE is always ready to support him and complete them at any time, not only in this location, but in all places where people need the IGE’s help. We are ready to assist. We are now seeing the rainy season and have already deployed our equipment to the Brigades. The IGE has five Brigades ready to support emergency services. Currently, we are concentrating our greatest support in the Municipality of Liquiça, the Post Administrative of Maubara, and the Post Administrative of Loes, in the Guiço village , to prevent floods from destroying homes and farms in the community,” said the president of IGEADI, I.P., Dr. Ana Paula da Cruz.
