
Prime Minister Xanana Together with President IGEADI, I.P Launched Certification and Licensing Training for High Risk Equipment Operators, Thursday (24/10).
Dili, 24 October 2024 (IGEADI.IP) – Prime Minister (PM), Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, accompanied by Minister of Public Works (MOP), His Excellency Samuel Marçal and President of the Institute of Equipment Management and Infrastructure Development Support, Public Institute (IGEADI.IP), Dr. Ana Paula da Cruz, launched the training, certification and licensing program for high risk equipment operators, in Lecidere, Bidau Santa-Ana District, Cristo Rei Administrative Post, Dili Municipality, Thursday (24/10/2024).
This programme is carried out because the Institute of Equipment Management and Infrastructure Development Support, Public Institute (IGEADI.IP) established cooperation with licensing.tl, ISAT and IS Australia to provide high-level training in compliance with international standards and global industry.
Through her speech, President of IGEADI.IP), Dr. Ana Paula da Cruz, said, this launch marks a good initiative that will contribute a profound impact to Timor-Leste’s sustainability of national socio-economic development and the future of Timor’s participation in the dynamic scenario of global and international development progress.

The head of IGEADI highlighted that Timor Leste is starting to develop rapidly and with this development will increase national growth, with the upcoming growth, requires Timorese operators and technicians who must have the skills to manage equipment with high risk complexity. Skill capacity required to empower and strengthen the national strategic projects that the state and government have defined, ranging from road and bridge construction projects to energy infrastructure projects and other utilitarian infrastructure projects, projects that are considered essential to improve the lives of our people and ensure their safety economic prosperity in the long term or over the next several years.
